[S1E1] Legacy Day

Megatron mocks the "disarmed" Starscream and offers empathy to the war-weary Wheeljack, claiming that he too wants the war to end. Wheeljack resists his attempt to recruit him to the Decepticon cause. Megatron then chastises Bumblebee for remaining neutral and orders that the two be executed just as Optimus Prime arrives. The two leaders argue, with Megatron claiming the war will end as soon as Prime signs a treaty. Prime rebuts that the treaty will enslave all of Cybertron. They discuss their shared legacy from Alpha Trion and lament how far they've strayed from his teachings. At an impasse, they begin to fight, with Megatron quickly gaining the upper hand. As Megatron prepares to deal the deathblow, Elita-1 ambushes him from above, sending the Decepticons into disarray. Prime orders Elita to detonate hidden explosives around the Decepticons, covering the Autobots' (and Bumblebee's) retreat.

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for House of the Dragon's season 1 premiere. There are some major reveals and setups in House of the Dragon season 1, episode 1's ending, which will have consequences not only for this story, but also have a ripple effect throughout Game of Thrones history. The first of what HBO hopes will be many Westeros-set spinoffs, House of the Dragon debuted three years after Game of Thrones' ending and set its stall out as not only a successor, but a show that will carve out its own legacy as well. Honoring one show while marking yourself out as something unique isn't easy, but the spinoff does manage it.

At the time of his death, Ulysses S. Grant was the most famous man in the world and stood alongside men like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in the pantheon of American heroes. However, today Ulysses S. Grant is largely forgotten, his rightful legacy tarnished by a fog of myth, rumor and falsehood.

Grant tells the remarkable and quintessentially American story of a humble man who overcomes incredible obstacles, rises to the highest ranks of power and saves the nation not once, but twice. With a seamless blend of dramatic scenes, expert commentary and beautifully enhanced archival imagery, this three-part miniseries uncovers the true legacy of the unlikely hero who led the nation during its greatest tests: the Civil War and Reconstruction.
